Dr Lee Kwok Cheong has extensive experience in education, government, IT and business.

He has been the Chief Executive Officer of SIM Global Education since 2005. SIM Global Education brings to Singapore more than 10 universities’ programmes with 20,000 students enrolled and 142,000 alumni. It is the largest private education provider in Singapore.

He was the Group Chief Executive Officer of NCS Pte Ltd, the largest IT services provider in South East Asia, from 1995 to 2005; Chairman of NCS from August 2005 to July 2006 and as an Advisor to NCS from August 2006 to August 2009. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Chief Executive of the National Computer Board.

Dr Lee has served on many boards and national committees in education, manpower and IT areas. He was on the Steering Committee of the Infocomm Media Masterplan 2025 and chaired its Manpower Working Committee. Currently he is an Independent Director of Nera Telecommunications Ltd and chairs the IRAS Technical Advisory Panels. He is also a Member of the Essential Domestic Services (EDS) Sub-Committee which was established by SkillsFuture Singapore to take care of the Education ITM and the Healthcare ITM wef November 2016. Dr Lee is also a Board Member of The Teng Ensemble Ltd wef 1 March 2017.

Dr Lee received Singapore’s Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2010 and Public Service Star (BBM) in 2016. He was conferred the IT Person of the year Award in 2000, Honorary Fellow in 2008 and Hall of Fame Award in 2011 by the Singapore Computer Society, the H.E.A.L.T.H. Leader Excellence Award from the Health Promotion Board in 2004, and the Special Recognition Award given by the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts in 2006.

Dr Lee graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of California at Berkeley. He was awarded a Doctor of Business honoris causa by the RMIT University in 2014. In 2016, he was awarded a Doctor of Science honoris causa by the University of London.

Ms Dorte Bech Vizard is the Ambassador of Denmark to Singapore and Brunei since September 2016. Prior to this appointment, she was Director of Investment Promotion and Innovation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

With a Master of Law from 1998, she started her career at the Royal Danish Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam, followed by several roles with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, including a posting to the Royal Danish Embassy in New Delhi, India, as Counsellor on political issues.

She has also worked with the Ministry of Social Affairs of Denmark as Head of Department for Legal and International Affairs, and in the private sector with Deloitte Business Consulting as Manager of a strategy team. In 2013, Dorte Bech Vizard was awarded the Order of Dannebrog, a Danish knighthood. She is married and has two children.

Professor Stephen C. Dunnett is Vice Provost for International Education at the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) and Professor of Foreign Language Education in the Graduate School of Education.

As vice provost he is the chief university officer responsible for all international programs and activities at UB. Professor Dunnett has been active in the development of cooperative education training programs between UB and overseas institutions of higher education. In 1980, he assisted in the established of a UB education center in Beijing, the first American university center in China after normalization of diplomatic relations. He has developed other education centers in Asia and Europe.

His research and publications concern the relationship between language and culture, in particular, the problems of Asian language speakers in the acquisition of English and factors affecting the adaptation of international students to life and study in the USA. He was a Fulbright researcher at Keio University in Tokyo, and a Visiting Professor at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

He is a former president of the Association of International Educators (AIEA) and the current chair of the International Advisory Board of Stenden University in the Netherlands.

Dynamic hotelier and restaurateur, Loh Lik Peng was born in Dublin, Ireland to Singapore parents who were practicing medicine there at the time. He attended Law school in England, University of Sheffield and Postgraduate at London School of Economics followed by bar exams in London before returning to Singapore in 1997. Loh became a corporate litigator upon his return before leaving the profession to step into the hospitality industry. Since then, Loh has started ventures across Singapore, Shanghai, London and Sydney under the Unlisted Collection. In this ever-changing dynamic industry, Loh will share about his accidental transition from a barrister to a hotelier. The need to always push the boundaries and being cutting edge. To be curious, excited and always pushing for innovation and progress.
